Salt Lake City, UT : 2 aboard motorcycle hurt in northern Utah crash on Saturday, 20th August, 2016

A man and woman riding a motorcycle in Rich County suffered "significant injuries" after hitting a car Saturday afternoon.

The 36-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were driving on Monte Cristo Road (State Route 39) about 4 p.m., according to a news release from the Rich County Sheriff's Office. The two attempted to pass a car turning left and struck the passenger side of the vehicle near mile marker 46.

The two on the motorcycle were flown to University Hospital in critical condition. The two occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
