Driver killed on the Blue Route in Marple Township Pennsylvania

Police say a driver was killed after colliding with a truck on the Blue Route in Marple Township, Pennsylvania late Thursday night.
The accident happened at 11:50 p.m. Thursday on the southbound lanes of I-476 at Mile marker 6.5.According to police, a car rear-ended a box truck and trapped the driver inside the car. According to Pennsylvania State Police, a brown 1986 Lincoln Towncar was traveling behind a 2005 white Hino 268 truck in the center lane when the Lincoln rear-ended the truck, sliding under the rear of the vehicle.The 70-year-old driver of the Lincoln was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released until notification of next of kin.The highway was closed while police investigated.
