Minot, ND : 39-year-old arrested after hit-and-run incident in Minot on Friday March 4 2016

Police in Minot say a 39-year-old man is in custody after he crashed into a parked vehicle and garage, fled the scene and later reported he had been assaulted and his vehicle stolen.
The Minot Police Department says officers responded to the scene of the crash shortly after 1 a.m. Friday, where they were informed that a person had fled on foot. The department says officers located the suspected driver after he called 911 to report he had been assaulted and his vehicle stolen.
Police say Minot resident Daniel Gene Lawson was arrested on charges including driving under the influence and reckless driving.
It wasn't immediately clear if Lawson has an attorney who could comment on his behalf. A woman who answered a call to a phone number publicly listed for Lawson said he no longer resides at that home.
