Covington ,GA : One killed, three injured in crash on November, Friday 10th 2017

One person was killed and three others, including two children, were injured in a head-on crash on Brown Bridge Road this morning.

According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, about 7:30 a.m. a Jeep Cherokee crossed the center line on Brown Bridge Road at Kinnett Road and struck a Chevrolet Avalanche head-on.

The driver of the Cherokee, Jeffrey Butler, 54, of Covington, died from his injuries.

The adult female driver of the Avalanche and two children in the vehicle, an 11-year-old male and 8-year-old female, all suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
