IDAVILLE, IN : Bus and semi accident kills 1, injures 3 others on Tuesday, 6th October, 2020

One passenger on a transport bus was killed Tuesday afternoon when the bus crossed the center line of U.S. 24 just inside the town limits of Idaville and struck a semi-truck head-on, police say.

White County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy David Roth said the cause of the accident was unknown at this time. The bus was heading west toward Monticello when it went into the path of an east-bound semi.

A passenger on the bus died. The bus driver was airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, with serious injuries. Two other passengers were transported to I.U. White Memorial Hospital. Their conditions are unknown as of Tuesday evening.

According to Roth, the driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
