A Spartanburg man died after a single car crash in Newberry County this weekend.
Jonathan Matthew Fullmer, 28, of Maryland Avenue, died after suffering multiple blunt force injuries during the crash on Highway 56 on Sunday morning, according to Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece.
S.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Hovis said Fullmer was driving a Dodge SUV north on Highway 56 when he veered off the road and hit a tree and a barn.
He was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, Hovis said.
The crash remains under Highway Patrol investigation.
