Schenectady, NY : One person is dead after a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, August 2, 2017

One person is dead after a motor vehicle accident Wednesday on the Thruway in the town of Florida, state police said.

The westbound accident, which remains under investigation, occurred about 5:20 p.m.

Westbound traffic at 9:45 p.m. was still being diverted off Exit 27 and is re-entering at Exit 28.
