CARBONDALE, IL : 1 person critically injured following early morning rollover crash on Saturday, 19th October 2024

One person remains hospitalized after an early morning crash in Carbondale, Illinois.

It happened on Saturday, October 19 around 2 a.m.

According to the Carbondale Police Department, first responders were called to the intersection of E. Walnut Street and Giant City Road where a vehicle crashed into traffic signal posts and rolled over multiple times.

There were two people in the vehicle. The driver had to be removed from the vehicle and was seriously injured. The passenger had no obvious injuries.
