NIAGARA FALLS, NY : 4 injured, 2 seriously, in Niagara Falls hit-and-run on Tuesday, 19th September 2023

A woman who allegedly injured four people in a hit-and-run Sunday in Niagara Falls turned herself into authorities Tuesday, the Niagara Falls Police Department said.

Shawnquilla Armstrong, 31, was charged with two counts of first-degree assault tied to the incident.

Police responded to the area of 22nd Street and Pierce Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, where around six people were involved in a dispute. Police said Armstrong allegedly entered a 2011 Chevy Tahoe, pulled into an alley to turn around and then drove on the sidewalk into the group.

Two of the four people who were injured, a 16-year-old male and a 52-year-old woman, were transported to ECMC with serious but non-life-threatening leg injuries. They are both in stable condition and remain hospitalized as of Tuesday.

Two others suffered minor injuries but were not treated.
