Scottsbluff, NE : Four injured in multiple vehicle crash near Sunflower Road on Saturday, January 28, 2017

Four people were seriously injured in an accident

According to The Nebraska State Patrol, the accident occurred around 6:20 p.m. on Highway 26 just east of Mitchell at mile marker 18 near Sunflower Road.

Drivers of seven vehicles struck a couch, an end table and a microwave that had fallen into the roadway.
Four people were transported to Regional West Medical Center with serious injuries, but no names have been released.

Portions of the highway were closed for several hours while investigation continued.
