WORCESTER, MA : A 46-year-old Webster man was the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash on Saturday, July 22, 2017

A 46-year-old Webster man was the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash on Chandler Street Saturday night, police said.

The victim, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was traveling east on Chandler Street about 7:25 p.m. when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a 2003 Honda Accord near the Wellington Street intersection. The motorcycle then made contact with another car, a 2011 Nissan Altima that was heading westbound on Chandler Street, police said.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, having suffered massive chest trauma with internal injuries, police said.

The crash is under investigation. The drivers of both cars involved in the accident were interviewed at the scene. No charges or citations had been issued as of Sunday, police said.
