Cle Elum, WA : Mukilteo man falls asleep, crashes van on Interstate 90 near Cle Elum on Wednesday, September 21, 2016

A Mukilteo man was injured this afternoon when he fell asleep and crashed his Kia minivan on Interstate 90, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Hun Parker, 42, was taken to KVH Hospital in Ellensburg. He was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The crash was reported about 1:30 p.m. 10 miles east of Cle Elum.

Troopers said Hun was westbound when the van left the road and came to rest in the median.

Hun was expected to receive a ticket for second-degree negligent driving.

He was wearing a seat belt, and intoxicants were not suspected, according to a patrol news release.
