San Anselmo, CA : DUI suspect fled San Anselmo crash on Wednesday, 8th January, 2020

A suspected drunken driver was arrested after he allegedly absconded from a head-on collision in San Anselmo.

Victor Manuel Ku Ojeda, 52, of San Rafael was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit-and-run driving, driving with a suspended license for a previous DUI and violation of probation.He remained in custody Wednesday in lieu of a $2,651 bail.The incident unfolded at about 9:30 p.m. Monday when Ojeda was on his way home from a dinner party at Barefoot Cafe in Fairfax, where he works, said Margo Rohrbacher, spokeswoman for Central Marin Police Authority.

Ojeda was eastbound on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in a 1994 Ford Ranger when he veered into the westbound lane near the Butterfield Road intersection. He crashed head-on with a 2013 BMW X5, an SUV, Rohrbacher said.
