La Grange, KY : 2 teens killed, 1 seriously injured in Oldham County crash Saturday on July 5, 2014

Oldham County police said two teenagers were killed and one person was seriously injured in a wreck north of La Grange.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 53 and Old Sligo Road (Highway 3223) around 4:30 p.m. July 5 when a truck and a car collided.

Oldham County police identified the deceased as Ben Clifford, an 18-year-old from La Grange, Kentucky and Haley OKelley, a 19-year-old from Jeffersonville, Indiana. They were passengers in the car and died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the car, Brianna Zambrzycki, 20, from La Grange, Kentucky, was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Two adults and three juveniles were riding in the pickup truck. All five of them were taken to Norton Brownsboro Hospital but did not appear to have serious injuries, according to officers.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
