NASHVILLE, TN : Driver hospitalized after crash involving WeGo bus in downtown Nashville on Wednesday, 20th March 2024

A person was hospitalized after a WeGo bus crashed in downtown Nashville Wednesday morning.

WeGo reports Bus 705 was traveling on the Woodland Street Bridge and had a yellow blinking light as the driver continued into the intersection at North 1st Street.

A car on North 1st Street was traveling toward Nissan Stadium and allegedly failed to stop at the blinking red light, causing the accident, WeGo said. The bus then crashed into the car.

The car was left with major damage and its driver was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition for treatment.
