Joplin, MO : Three-vehicle crash results in injuries of two Cassville residents on Tuesday 4 October 2016

Two Cassville residents sustained serious injuries in a three-vehicle crash at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri Highway 248, four miles east of Cassville in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Charli Epperly, 39, and Michael Bauer, 44, were both taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas, the state patrol said.

Epperly, who was driving westbound, turned in front of Bauer's eastbound vehicle and hit it head on, the patrol reported. As Epperly's vehicle was disabled on the roadway, a third vehicle heading eastbound hit her car. The driver in the third vehicle was listed as "unknown" in the state patrol's report.
