One woman was killed Monday evening near Hanford when her car ran a stop sign, hitting a palm tree and igniting in flames, the California Highway Patrol said.
The 27-year-old driver succumbed to her injuries after she was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center. For an unknown reason, the woman did not stop at the intersection of 7th and Houston avenues around 6 p.m., the CHP said.
