State police responded to tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 95 in the early morning hours Wednesday morning.
Troop A reported troopers responded to a crash at the northbound mile marker 7 around 1:35 a.m.
Initial on-scene investigation revealed a 2015 Freightliner with a 53-foot box trailer being driven by Douglas Boles, 59, of Derry, was traveling north when the driver lost control of his vehicle. The truck left the travel portion of the road and came to a final rest after striking a series of trees along the eastern shoulder.
The force of the impact caused one of the truck’s fuel tanks to rupture and spill approximately 70 gallons of fuel. The cleanup was coordinated with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. Boles was transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital but sustained no significant injuries during this collision, police said.
