HAMMOND, LA : Driver dies in crash after fleeing from prior hit-and-run crash on Sunday, 19th May 2024

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of one man over the weekend.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards says on Saturday, deputies responded to a vehicle crash on Bankston Road in Hammond at about 11:30 p.m.

The crash happened near the Copper Hill Subdivision and claimed the life of an unidentified Hispanic male whom EMS pronounced dead on scene.
