LIHUE, HI : Woman taken to hospital after Tuesday night wreck on Tuesday, 8th November 2016

No serious injuries were reported after two cars collided at the intersection of Ahukini Road and Kapule Highway Tuesday night.
A Toyota SUV was traveling north on Kapule Highway when a Lexus SUV, heading south, attempted to turn left onto Ahukini Road about 9 p.m., according to the Kauai Police Department.
The Lexus struck the Toyota, causing major damage to both cars.
The driver of the Toyota, a 42-year-old woman from Kapaa, was taken to Wilcox Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to a release.
The driver of the Lexus did not sustain injuries.
Traffic was diverted from the intersection until around 11:45 p.m. so crews could clear the scene.
