Three people were charged after a crash near Morrisville early Sunday morning.
According to officials with the State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate-40 at Exit 284 for Airport Boulevard around 2 a.m.
Highway Patrol troopers said three cars were involved in the crash and when a Good Samaritan stopped to offer help, 24-year-old Lauren Starks, a Duke nurse and passenger in one of the vehicles, stole the Good Samaritan's SUV. 7
Starks was charged with DWI and auto theft.
The driver of the car Starks was in was also charged with DWI as well as driving with a revoked license.
Another driver involved in the crash was charged with DWI. Drug charges against that driver are pending, authorities said.
