Mount Dora, FL : Driver killed after vehicle strikes telephone pole on Lake Saunders Drive and Dora Avenue on Monday afternoon, Aug 3, 2015

The driver of a vehicle that struck a telephone pole in Mount Dora on Monday afternoon has died.

Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Lake Saunders Drive and Dora Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m.

The male driver was taken to Waterman Hospital, where he died.
