Portland man dies after classic car crashes into work truck

A Portland man died when his classic car crashed into the rear of a state-owned heavy duty pickup truck Tuesday afternoon.
George James Raeburn, 69, died at the hospital after the crash.
Police said Raeburn was not wearing a seatbelt when his 1958 Chevrolet Impala crashed into the back of a state-owned Ford F-450 work truck around 4:25 p.m. on Highway 26 in eastern Oregon.
Police said the truck was going 55 mph at the time of the crash. The three Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife employees in the truck were not injured, state police said.
The first Oregon State Police trooper on scene started first aid on Raeburn until medics arrived. Raeburn was rushed to Blue Mountain Hospital in nearby John Day, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
