Edgard,LA : Trial reset for driver of bus that killed 3 in crash on April, wednesday 26th 2017
A new trial date has been set for the man indicted in a crash that killed three people and injured dozens more when his bus plowed into a firetruck and cars on Interstate 10 last August.
Denis Amaya-Rodriguez, a Honduran national who authorities say in the country illegally and unlicensed at the time of the Aug. 28 crash, faces charges June 12 at the parish courthouse in Edgard.
Amaya-Rodriguez remains in jail on $1.75 million bond. He has pleaded not guilty to three counts of negligent homicide and 39 counts of negligent injury.
