Mountain View , CA : 18-year-old East Palo Alto man killed after he lost Control and he slammed into tree on Sunday ,May 10th 2015

An 18-year-old East Palo Alto man died Sunday morning when he slammed into a tree, the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities did not identify the man immediately, pending notification of his family. He lost control of a 2013 Toyota just south of El Camino Real as he drove north on state Highway 85 around 5:12 a.m., CHP spokesman Officer Art Montiel said.
The car crashed into a large tree, then a sound wall, and came to a rest on its wheels along the right shoulder, Montiel said. Police were trying to determine how fast the car was going.
Emergency personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene. The CHP is investigating whether alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash.
