Los Angeles, CA : Car driver injured after collided with a Fire Department ambulance in the Lincoln Heights area early Monday, February 22, 2016

Los Angeles authorities say an injured driver had to be cut out of her car after it collided with a Fire Department ambulance.

Police officials say the ambulance was not responding to a call for service when the crash happened early Monday in the Lincoln Heights area.

The car's driver was hospitalized with unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
