BELLMEAD, TX : Affidavit Woman drank alcohol took sleep medication before Bellmead accident that caused another driver to suffer hair loss on Friday, 16th August 2024

A woman was arrested in Bellmead for drinking alcohol and taking sleep medication before crashing into another vehicle, causing another driver to suffer serious injuries and “hair loss,” an affidavit alleges.

Sherrie Stanton Dunn, 64, is charged with two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury and one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon.

On Aug. 15, an affidavit alleges Dunn was involved in a car accident in the 4100 block of Bellmead Drive after she rear-ended a pickup, pushing the truck into a sedan.

The affidavit states Dunn hit the truck hard enough to also cause it to go off the road and into a parking lot, striking a pole.
