Chattanooga, TN : A man died in a crash on Shallowford Road in Chattanooga on Sunday, 4th March 2018

A man died in a crash at the 6200 block of Shallowford Road in Chattanooga early Sunday morning.

Dejuane Moore, 45, succumbed to his injuries on scene, Chattanooga police said in a news release.

Moore was traveling east on Shallowford Road just before 1:30 a.m. and appeared to cross the double yellow line within a curve as another driver, Michael Mayes, 55, was traveling in the opposite direction when they collided.

Mayes was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The Chattanooga police traffic division is actively investigating the crash.
