Charleston, UT : One man injured after two cars collided on U.S. 189 in Wasatch County on Tuesday night, Nov 3, 2015
One man was hospitalized Tuesday night in extremely critical condition after two cars collided on U.S. 189.
One vehicle T-boned the other on the southbound portion of the highway near Deer Creek Reservoir in Wasatch County around 6 p.m., said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce. Both vehicles rolled because of the crash.
A man in one of the vehicles suffered severe injuries and was taken to Heber Valley Medical Center before being transferred by helicopter to a trauma center in Salt Lake City, Royce said.
Another man suffered minor injuries. The sergeant didn't know Tuesday which man was in what vehicle and didn't have descriptions of the vehicles. The critically injured victim's age was also unknown.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Part of U.S. 189 was closed through Tuesday night, leading to snarled traffic, Royce said.
