Galesville, MD : Two hospitalized following head-on crash in south county on Monday morning, July 27, 2015
Two people were injured in a head-on crash Monday morning in south county.
The crash involved two sedans and occurred about 8:10 a.m. on Muddy Creek Road, south of Galesville Road, said county fire department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies.
A 79-year-old woman was trapped in one vehicle and a 74-year-old man was trapped in the other, Davies said. Both were extricated within 20 minutes.
The woman was transported to Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly; the man was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Davies said. Both had injuries that were considered serious but not life-threatening, he said.
No additional information on the crash was immediately available.
