PONTOTOC, MS : A bicyclist in Mississippi has died after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday, August 20, 2017

A bicyclist in Mississippi has died after being struck by a vehicle on a state highway.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says in a news release that 57-year-old David Burk was riding a bicycle Sunday night in Pontotoc County. The release says Burk rode into the path of a 2005 Cadillac and was killed.

The patrol says the driver of the Cadillac was not hurt.

An investigation continues.
