Plankinton, SD : Minnesotans injured in crash near Plankinton on Monday night, July 25, 2016
Two Minnesota residents were injured in a crash Monday night west of Plankinton.
Tyreak Walker, 20, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, was traveling eastbound on I-90 around 11:05 p.m. in a 1991 Ford Taurus, near mile marker 303 when he lost control of the vehicle and rear-ended a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
Walker and a passenger, Kiena Beack, 19, of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital. Both were wearing seat belts.
The driver of the Grand Prix, Aaron Terveen, 38, of Mitchell, was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured in the collision.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol investigated. Other responding agencies were the Aurora County Sheriff's Office and Plankinton Fire Department.
