Memphis, TN : 28-year-old William Hays died in a crash on Walnut Grove Road on Friday night, June 10, 2016

One person died in a crash on Walnut Grove Road on Friday night.

Police later identified that man as 28-year-old William Hays.

Police said one car was driving on Walnut Grove Road when it crossed through the median, hitting a traffic sign and driving into oncoming traffic.

That's when the car collided with another car and flipped over. Both people inside the car were thrown from the vehicle.

One person did not have any injuries; however, Hays was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the other car was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
