Orlando, FL : 2 children killed in Orange County crash on Wednesday, December 28th 2016

Two children were killed and two other people were injured in a wrong-way crash on Orange Blossom Trail in Lockhart Wednesday, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.

Jasmin Johnson, 12, and her sister Kayla Johnson, 10, were both killed. They were both wearing their seat belts,

Their mother, April Gallon, 31, of Orlando, was driving a 2006 Pontiac north near Brownell Street about 3:15 p.m. when it crossed into the southbound lanes and was hit on the right side by a 2004 Cadillac SUV, troopers said.

Gallon and the Cadillac driver, Clermond Laferriere, 59, were hospitalized with minor injuries, troopers said.

Troopers are investigating the crash.
