Seatle ,WA : Drunk driver arrested after first vehicle crashed into another car while fleeing troopers along 520 Bridge on Sunday early morning , April 5th 2015

A driver is in custody after a high-speed chase ended in a two-car crash on the 520 Bridge overnight Saturday, Washington State Trooper Chris Webb said.

The driver of the first vehicle crashed into another car while fleeing troopers, Webb said. The driver reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

The crash injured the driver of the second vehicle. Troopers originally reported the driver was arrested for DUI, however it was confirmed later Sunday morning that the driver was not arrested. The driver has minor injuries, and was treated by medics.

Trooper Web says the driver in the first vehicle was arrested for DUI, with assault charges, and eluding police likely to follow.

The crash happened in the mid-span of the 520 Bridge around 1 a.m. Sunday, closing the eastbound lanes for several hours.
