SHERMAN, TX : Sherman man dies in US 75 crash on Tuesday, December, 5th 2017

A Sherman man died Tuesday night in a crash on U.S. 75.

Sherman police said the victim -- Jesse Martinez Jr. -- was driving a white Nissan Maxima that tangled with an 18-wheeler in the northbound lanes near the FM 1417 exit.

The car was crushed in the accident; the truck driver was not hurt.

Traffic was slowed for several hours as the wreckage was cleared and the accident was investigated.
