New Windsor, IL : Driver, student injured in bus crash in New Windsor on Wednesday afternoon, March 29, 2017

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office is investigating a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in which the driver and a student in a Sherrard School District bus received nonlife-threatening injuries.

The sheriff's office received a report at 2:38 p.m. of the crash on Illinois Route 17 near 310th Street in rural New Windsor, they said in a news release.

Tri County Ambulance, New Windsor Fire, New Windsor Police and Viola Police departments assisted the Mercer County Sheriff's Office on the scene.
