Asheville, NC : One of the vehicles involved in the crash on Interstate 40 near Asheville early Wednesday morning, March 2, 2016

Traffic is moving again after several lanes of Interstate 40 eastbound were closed at exit 47 near Asheville following an early morning crash.

Asheville Police said multiple vehicles were involved in the wreck around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, and it created a big back-up into rush hour.

There were reports of injuries, but it's unclear how severe.

EMS, police, and firefighters all responded to the scene.

At about 8:50 a.m. traffic was reported to be moving again.
