Sanborn Township, WI : Motorcyclist dead after being hit by a van in Ashland County on Sunday morning, June 21, 2015

The Ashland County Sheriff's Office says one man is dead after a crash Sunday morning.

A press release from the Sheriff's Departments states it happened around 7:30 a.m. Sunday on US Highway 2, just west of Goslin Road in the Township of Sanborn.

Investigators say a westbound van struck an eastbound motorcycle, driven by Gary A. Minkler, 68, of Roseburg, Oregon.

Minkler was pronounced dead at the scene. The four occupants in the van were uninjured, according to the press release.

The crash is under investigation by the Ashland County Sheriff's Department and the State Patrol.
