York County, SC : 56-year-old Deborah Boatwright Adkins died after deadly crash on Highway 324, south of York on Monday night, June 20, 2016

The driver of a vehicle has been identified after investigators say she hit a tree with her vehicle and was killed Monday night.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7 p.m. on Highway 324, south of York.

Troopers say the driver, later identified as 56-year-old Deborah Boatwright Adkins, was heading south when they drove off the road, hit a tree and overturned.

Adkins died at the scene. She lived in McConnells, SC.
