Lubbock, TX : Driver seriously injured after crashing into West Lubbock Office Depot on Sunday, 21st October 2018

The Lubbock Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a crash late Sunday morning that left the driver seriously injured.

Police responded about 11:30 a.m. to reports that a car crashed into the side of Office Depot at 6044 Marsha Sharp Freeway, according to Lubbock police spokeswoman Tiffany Taylor.

The driver was the sole occupant of the car and was taken by ambulance to a Lubbock hospital with serious injuries. No one else was injured in the crash. It was not immediately clear what prompted the crash or at what speed the vehicle was driving when it collided with the building.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
