CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA : Gladys man killed in crash on Saturday, 16th March 2024

Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man Saturday on Route 501 (Brookneal Highway) in Campbell County.

The crash was at 12:16 p.m. at the intersection of Route 501 and Marshall Mill Road. Police say the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was heading south on Route 501, ran off the road to the right, struck a sign and a tree, then overturned in a ditch.

The driver, Larry K. Smith, 63 of Gladys, died at the scene of the crash.
