Semi-truck carrying six vehicles ran off Chapman Highway and crashed into a utility pole
Knoxville police have reopened all lanes of Chapman Highway after a semi crashed into a utility pole early Monday morning.
A semi-truck carrying six vehicles ran off Chapman Highway and crashed into a utility pole near Lake Forest Drive shortly before 3 a.m. The semi's fuel tank ruptured during the wreck, spilling diesel fuel onto the ground.
It took crews more than seven hours to clean up the fuel and haul the semi from the crash site.
No one was injured in the accident.
KPD said the driver was cited for careless driving.
