Pittsburgh,PA : Boy, 8, killed after being struck by dump truck on July, Thursday 27th 2017

Police say an 8-year-old has died after he was struck by a dump truck while riding his bicycle in Pennsylvania.

The Alleghany County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the boy as Jayden Montegomery, of Pittsburgh.

Officials say the boy was riding his bike with a friend in the city’s Troy Hill neighborhood when he was hit around 2 p.m. Thursday. The child’s friend was not hurt.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Public Safety says the driver remained at the scene. It is unclear if he will face criminal charges.
