An 18-year-old Zephyr woman died in a one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon near Comanche.
The Department of Public Safety reported McKenzie Denay Cox of Zephyr was killed in the accident that occurred at 12:34 p.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 67, nine miles west of Comanche.
She was driving west on U.S. 67 in a 2004 Ford when she apparently lost control of her car. The car rolled over and Cox, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car, the DPS reported.
She was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 7 p.m.
DPS trooper Mitchell Best is investigating the wreck.
