A Lake City woman was killed in a traffic accident Saturday night on U.S. 90, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
According to a highway patrol news release, John Thomas Hinrichs, 27, of Lake City was driving a 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis west on U.S. 90 near Noegel Road just before 10 p.m. Saturday, when he crossed into the eastbound lane and hit a 2004 Toyota RAV4 driven by Jane Kaufman, 64, of Lake City.
Kaufman was killed in the accident, FHP said. Hinrichs had minor injuries.
