Sanford, FL : Four people injured during motorcycle memorial ride crash in Sanford on Sunday, March 6, 2016

Four people were injured in a crash during a memorial motorcycle rally Sunday in Sanford.

About two dozen bikers with the Iron Coalition MC Bike Club in Sanford were headed out on a charity ride in honor of a friend who had recently passed away, when the crash occurred at the intersection of County Road 46-A and Casa Verde Boulevard.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a man driving a motorcycle was thrown about 40 feet. Despite suffering multiple fractures, is expected to survive.

A passenger on the motorcycle and the drivers of two cars involved in the crash were also injured and are in stable condition.

Witnesses said one of the cars involved failed to yield while making a left turn on green. Troopers have not said if the driver will be charged.
