MASON CITY, IA : Two hurt in rollover crash south of Mason City on Wednesday, December, 6th 2017
Two people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover south of Mason City Wednesday afternoon, according to law enforcement.
The Iowa State Patrol said in a news release a 2001 Toyota 4Runner was eastbound on the Avenue of the Saints about 2:04 p.m. when the vehicle went onto the gravel shoulder and the driver overcorrected.
The SUV rolled several times near the 185 mile marker before coming to rest in the far eastbound ditch, the State Patrol said. The driver was ejected.
A 36-year-old and 18-year-old were transported by Mason City Fire medics. Their identities have not been released, according to the State Patrol, and their conditions are not available.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office, Mercy Air Med and Iowa DOT Maintenance also provided assistance at the scene.
