TYNDALL, SD : Two injured in two-vehicle crash in Tyndall on Thursday, September 14, 2017
Two people sustained non-life threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Tyndall.
At approximately 10:34 a.m. William Soulek, 78, of Lake Andes, was driving a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica and failed to yield as he pulled out onto South Dakota Highway 50 in Tyndall, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. A 26-year-old male, driving a 2012 Peterbilt Semi, could not avoid hitting the Chrysler Pacifica, officials said.
Both Soulek and the 75-year-old female passenger in the Chrysler Pacifica were wearing their seat belts and sustained non-life threatening injuries. They were transported to a Tyndall hospital. Charges are pending against Soulek.
The 26-year-old male and the 24-year-old female passenger in the Peterbilt Semi were uninjured.
South Dakota Highway Patrol investigated the crash. Bon Homme County Sheriff's Office, Tyndall Ambulance, Tabor Ambulance, Tyndall Fire Department also responded.
