Fayetteville, AR : Wisconsin man died and two other people injured when three semitrailers collided on Interstate 49 near Greenland on Wednesday night, February 25, 2015
Arkansas State Police say one man was killed and two others were injured after three semitrailers crashed on a northwest Arkansas highway.
A preliminary report says a Harrison man was driving a truck Wednesday night north on Interstate 49 near Greenland when it veered off the road and into a median. The vehicle overturned back onto the interstate.
A tractor-trailer slowed to avoid the wreck and was hit from behind by another tractor-trailer. The second semitrailer also was hit from behind by another tractor-trailer driven by 48-year-old Billy W. Kramer Jr., of Sparta, Wisconsin.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports Kramer was killed in the crash.
Kramer's wife and the Harrison man both were injured. They were taken to a hospital, where their conditions weren't immediately known.
